Standards Map reaches the 300 standards mark

Providing comprehensive and verified information on VSS and other similar initiatives covering issues such as environmental protection, quality and food safety, labour rights, and economic development.

Almost ten years have passed since the inception of Standards Map. During this time, the voluntary sustainability standards (VSS) landscape has seen exponential growth in the number of initiatives. Sustainable markets have grown from niche to mainstream, with implications at all levels of Global Value Chains.

To keep up with the changing context, T4SD has been filtering and closely tracking this immense volume of data in a user-friendly and transparent manner. Today, Standards Map covers o

ver 300 voluntary standards initiatives applicable to more than 80 sectors and 180 countries – and counting.

Since its launch in 2010, Standards Map has been providing comprehensive and verified information on VSS and other similar initiatives covering issues such as environmental protection, quality and food safety, labour rights, and economic development. The platform allows users to analyse and compare voluntary standards-related data, whilst enabling producers and businesses to carry out self-assessments of their performance against a range of standards requirements.

To commemorate its 10th anniversary this October 2021, a new version of Standards Map will be launched in the coming months.
