Our story
Established more than 10 years ago, Himalayan Shangrila Tea Producers Pvt. Ltd. is one of the oldest tea factories in the Nepaltar region of Ilam. It has several tea producers and tea producers’ cooperatives associated with it.
Situated at a height of 1800 meters, the company’s processing facilities benefit from being very close to the tea plantation farms ensuring fresh supplies of tea leaves.

Himalayan Shangrila provides various incentives to the communities for a better income and livelihood.
Cow Shed Management Training
Apart from providing Cows (whose manure is vital for organic farming), the company has also provided cow shed management training to the farmers.
Safe Maternity Stipends
The company encourages safe maternity to all its cooperative farmers by providing stipend for every child born at a hospital or a local health post. This has played a vital role in decreasing infant / mother mortality among the farmers.
Building Infrastructure
The company has also contributed in helping the community build cooperative buildings.
Commitment to Education
All children of our farmers are provided with stationery support for their education.

Himalayan Shangrila works exclusively with Tea Farmers’ cooperative to source their tea leaves. The cooperatives benefit from several training programs focused on Organic farming of not only Tea but other farms as well.
